I would imagine blocking an entire tv program is impossible. Look at duck dynasty and its association with racism. Watch any given 10 seconds of Uncle Ruckus on Boondocks.

Obama likes to think of himself as this era's MLK. But he's wrong. Clarkson was merely repeating an old rhyme and he didn't shout it out in anger at someone. Clarkson can be grating on the nerves at times, but that's his shtick. He mocks everyone else's negative stereotypes while being a negative stereotype himself.

Some douchebag lawfirm in the UK is asking for this. It's legally impossible to block a show in the U.S. because of it's "language" use. Does no one here remember the 1st Amendment? The Government is barred from censoring. We also don't have any hate speech laws in the U.S. like half of the nations in Europe do.

Can you please change the title? Your title makes it seem like President Obama himself has asked for Top Gear to be blocked. In reality it's people asking Obama to block Top Gear.

I'm not going to add anything that anyone else hasn't already said, but here goes...

Clarkson should stop being crucified for this. He is a comedian first and foremost. He is a great journalist, but if no one else, Top Gear is down to about 50% actual journalism. Clarkson has done nothing more than any other comedic artist has done. And I'm not too sure that if somebody else hadn't done the same thing (which I'm not even sure he did) that was younger and of the "hip" generation that they wouldn't have been written off as being "extra edgy" that day.
